Job summary

Hillcrest YMCA in Lyndhurst, OH, invites applications for a Lead Teacher to administer our childcare program. You will create lesson plans, maintain site records, ensure licensure compliance, and support program operations across sites as needed.

This role is expected to be actively involved in childcare 100% of the time. Qualifications include a minimum high school diploma, CPR/BLS/First Aid certification within 30 days, and at least 2 years in licensed childcare.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma.
• Certification in CPR at the level of Basic Life Support or Professional Rescuer, Basic First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Administration required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety of children by supervising participants at all times and ensure proper staff-to-child ratios.
• Plan, develop, and implement lesson plans following YMCA guidelines.
• Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports and maintain site records.
• Provide coverage and arrange substitutes as needed in coordination with supervisor.
• Communicate with parents and foster ongoing center operations.
