Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or HiSet.
• Must have at least 2 years' experience in a licensed daycare facility.
• An Associates' Degree, CDA, or Apprenticeship Certificate are preferred.
• Must have CPR and 1st Aid training, or obtain certification within a reasonable time after date of hire.
• Must follow Practitioner Registry requirements regarding trainings and maintain current status.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct child care in a developmentally appropriate, safe environment.
• Comply with St. John's United policies and state/federal regulations.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Identify supplies and ensure equipment/facility are clean and in good repair.
• Provide effective classroom management and age-appropriate activities.
• Collaborate with Coordinators on interests, lesson plans, and curriculum guides.
• Follow lesson plans while remaining flexible for the group's needs.
• Foster physical, cognitive, communication, social and emotional development.
• Engage children in group and individual play, both indoors and outdoors.
• Mentor new teachers and assistants on policies and practices.
