Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Mansfield, CT is seeking a Lead Teacher to partner with families and fellow educators to provide a nurturing, developmentally appropriate program for children aged 6 weeks through 12 years, following NAEYC guidelines.

You will create engaging lessons, maintain a safe, clean classroom, communicate effectively with parents, and support a team dedicated to excellent early childhood education. Full-time, weekday hours.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or CDA/Head Teacher credential or 12 credits in ECE.
• 2+ years of experience in licensed child care preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks–12 years in one classroom.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum per NAEYC standards.
• Curate programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm, safe, clean environment.
• Partner with families to plan best care and education.
• Provide effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
