Job summary

Original Pancake House - Northwest is seeking a Lead Chef First Shift to oversee all kitchen functions for a single restaurant unit in the Dallas area. You will manage food purchasing, preparation, plating, portion control and sanitation to maintain OPH standards.

The role requires 2+ years of kitchen experience, 6 months in an OPH-DFW kitchen, and the ability to train staff, manage inventory, and uphold quality standards throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
• At least 6 months experience in an OPH-DFW kitchen.
• Clear communication with managers and staff.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods (up to 9 hours).

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for all kitchen functions including food purchasing, prep and quality maintenance.
• Prepare and portion menu items according to OPH standards.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness per policies.
• Train employees in cooking methods, presentation, portioning and cost control.
• Supervise closing procedures and ensure guest service standards.
• Ensure proper inventory and FIFO practices.
• Complete required paperwork and reports as needed.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and working condition.
