Job summary

General Motors seeks a Lead Chassis Structure Analyst to drive structural analysis for chassis, suspension, and driveline in a hybrid work setting. You will connect component physics to full-vehicle performance and spearhead CAE activities across cross-functional teams.

You will guide FEA, fatigue analyses, and block-cycle testing while collaborating with design engineers to deliver robust, optimized designs and clear recommendations during design reviews.

Qualifications

• B.S./B.E. in Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering required.
• 5+ years in CAE roles with leadership in structural analysis.
• 3+ years in Linear and Non-Linear Analysis to assess performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead chassis and driveline analysis and virtual test activities.
• Perform FEA to evaluate strength, stiffness, durability, and NVH.
• Conduct fatigue analysis and develop block cycle test profiles.
• Collaborate with design engineers to develop solutions for new components.
• Balance system-level requirements and support test development and root-cause analysis.
• Lead CAE-focused project management with suppliers; present results in reviews.
• Participate in PDTs for chassis, suspension, and steering; collaborate with DVP teams.
