Job summary

Mosaic Life Care is seeking a Charge Staff Nurse (RN) to supervise unit staff, coordinate patient care, and ensure quality and safety. This role functions as a lateral integrator, overseeing throughput and supporting nurses and care teams at the point of care.

The position emphasizes evidence-based practice and cost containment, with responsibilities in staffing, huddles, and collaboration with care management. Requires RN license, BLS, ACLS if applicable, and 1 year inpatient RN experience.

Qualifications

• RN with state licensure (or Compact State Licensure) required upon hire.
• BLS certification required within 90 days.
• ACLS required if working in inpatient area within 90 days.
• 1 year RN experience on unit or inpatient preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete high-level shift staffing assignments and coordinate with leadership.
• Supervise coworkers and monitor throughput on the unit.
• Assign nursing students to caregivers for upcoming shifts.
• Collaborate with care management for throughput and plan of care.
• Participate in unit huddles focusing on safety, quality and risk reduction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
