Job summary

Intermountain Health in Billings, MT is seeking an RN Charge Nurse to lead on shift and coordinate staff and resources to deliver safe, high‑quality patient care. You'll work within the St.

Vincent Regional Hospital unit, guiding the team and ensuring adherence to care plans and regulatory standards. The role requires active supervision, scheduling insight, and clinical expertise with a focus on efficiency and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice.
• Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of start.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Unit Specific Certification such as ACLS, PALS, etc.
• Experience in the assigned clinical area and mentoring experience.
• BSN from an accredited institution; BSN must be completed within four years if not already obtained.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, social, and psychological status; inform plan of care with interdisciplinary team.
• Develop individualized care plans with patient, family, and team input.
• Direct and coordinate the care team; delegate tasks and manage resources.
• Ensure timely documentation, compliance with standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Plan staffing and scheduling, monitor outcomes, and ensure quality care.
• Coach staff, promote professionalism, and support ongoing education.
