Job summary

AJ Chambers US is seeking a Senior Bankruptcy Attorney to lead and build its high-volume Chapter 7 practice. This remote role focuses on managing intake through discharge, mentoring junior attorneys, and scaling the practice with the firm's technology-driven platform.

You will own the practice, collaborate with senior paralegals, and implement scalable workflows while maintaining strong client relationships nationwide.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of consumer bankruptcy experience
• Active Texas Bar license in good standing
• Experience representing individual debtors
• Experience managing a high volume consumer bankruptcy caseload
• Strong understanding of the Chapter 7 process from intake through discharge
• Leadership, supervision, or practice management experience
• Comfortable with legal technology and remote collaboration platforms
• Strong client facing and interpersonal skills
• Stable employment history with no significant pattern of short-term moves
• US work authorization without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the firm's high volume Chapter 7 consumer bankruptcy practice
• Manage consumer bankruptcy matters from intake through discharge
• Oversee cases through typical 90-120 day Chapter 7 cycles
• Work closely with senior paralegals to maintain case quality and throughput
• Serve as the senior legal resource on complex or contested consumer matters
• Help recruit, train and mentor junior attorneys as the practice expands
• Establish and improve processes for a scalable, technology driven bankruptcy practice
• Maintain strong relationships with consumers and provide clear, empathetic legal guidance
