Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited midwifery program with Certificate of nurse-midwifery.
• Successful completion of integration experience in an accredited midwifery program.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates need for and ordering laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Reviews and accurately records laboratory results in prenatal records.
• Assesses need for referrals to other healthcare providers.
• Educates patients and families and supports shared decision making in care.
• Provides labor and delivery coverage and assists with Cesarean sections as needed.
• Completes postpartum rounds and timely discharges; manages billing at discharge.
