Job summary

Lake Pointe Health Center, part of CommuniCare Health, seeks a Certified Activities Director to lead the activities team in Lorain, OH. You will design and oversee resident-centered programs, coordinate events, and advocate for residents’ needs while collaborating with staff and families.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Therapeutic Recreation or related field (or 90-hour course) and prior management experience, plus a CTRS certification and an active driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field or 90-hour course for activities professionals and continuing education.
• Prior management, supervisory, or leadership experience in healthcare preferred.
• CTR S certification is required.
• Must have active driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and evaluate diversified resident-centered activities.
• Involve residents in planning individualized activities programs and advocate for their rights and preferences.
• Participate in resident/family council and department meetings.
• Maintain records and reports related to activities.
