Job summary

Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital is seeking a Centralized Staffing & Scheduling Lead to manage scheduling, staffing, and timekeeping in a dynamic 24/7 healthcare setting. You will oversee daily schedules, coordinate with nurse managers, and mobilize staff to meet urgent coverage needs.

The role emphasizes leadership in the ROC team, collaboration across stakeholders, and adherence to hospital policies. A related associate degree and healthcare staffing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience with staffing/scheduling software in a 24/7 healthcare setting (required).
• Experience leading staffing and scheduling in a centralized ROC team or similar environment.
• Ability to create and edit schedules, manage timecards, and coordinate with nurse managers.

Responsibilities

• Leads staffing and scheduling department and supports training/education.
• Provides scheduling leadership, cost containment, and stakeholder relations.
• Generates reports and resolves scheduling issues while ensuring policy compliance.
• Creates/edits unit schedules in the electronic system and assigns unit-specific roles.
• Prepares daily/shift schedules reflecting forecasted needs with nurse managers.
• Approves/denies schedule requests based on skill mix and unit needs.
• Maintains scheduling within the system and communicates urgent staffing needs.
