Qualifications

• 8+ years of Plant Engineering/Maintenance experience.
• 5+ years of craft/trade skills; 3-5 years of supervisor/administration experience.
• Familiarity with DOH, JCAHO, OSHA, DER, NFPA, etc.
• Five years' experience in hospital engineering and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operates and coordinates service and repair of stationary power plant equipment including gas turbine, high voltage electrical distribution systems, natural gas compressor, emission control equipment, steam driven chiller, electric chillers and high-pressure steam boilers and high temperature hot water systems.
• Monitors operating conditions to maintain continuous plant performance and supports operations with energy management systems.
• Manages repairs, preventive maintenance, and project activities by planning, organizing, scheduling and controlling manpower and materials.
• Coordinates and controls outside contractors ensuring compliance with Life Safety and regulatory requirements; supports construction interfacing with facility staff.
• Oversees daily manpower schedules and provides leadership for off shift, weekends and holidays.
• Prepares annual minor capital and expense budgets and monitors expenditures to keep within budget.
• Works with Scheduler/Planner to ensure preventive maintenance and regulatory tasks are completed.
• Uses CMMS to enter and track work orders and PMs.
