Penn Medicine is seeking a Facilities Technician to operate and maintain critical mechanical systems across our medical campus. The role supports HVAC, boilers, chillers, and medical gas equipment, ensuring reliable utilities and safe building operation.

You will perform routine preventive maintenance, respond to work requests, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to uphold high standards of care and safety for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years in a power plant setting handling boilers and chillers.
• Knowledge of state and local codes and ordinances.
• Knowledge of computers.
• Vocational diploma or trade school preferred.

Responsabilités

• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain mechanical equipment (air handlers, boilers, chillers, generators, medical gas equipment).
• Provide utilities such as lighting, heating, cooling, power for refrigeration, and to perform emergency maintenance repairs.
• Perform daily work requests and monthly preventive maintenance on various equipment (air filters, systems).
• Assist with snow and ice removal as needed.
