Job summary

Mystic Lake Casino Hotel seeks a Supervisor, Central Utility Plant to lead the safe, reliable operation of the resort’s central plant and hydronic systems, including boilers, chillers, and BAS. You will direct a maintenance team, coordinate preventive and corrective actions, and ensure 24/7 coverage to minimize guest disruption.

Qualifications

• 5+ years operating commercial/industrial HVAC, hydronic, boiler, chiller, or central utility plant systems.
• 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of boilers, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, valves, piping, and related equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, piping diagrams, manuals, and technical docs.
• Working knowledge of BAS and HVAC controls.
• Safety training and lockout/tagout familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct daily operation and maintenance of central plant and hydronic systems.
• Lead, train, and provide technical direction to team; set priorities and ensure safe, timely work.
• Monitor equipment and BAS to ensure reliable heating/cooling and continuity of operations.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance; coordinate repairs to minimize guest impact.
• Conduct facility inspections and recommend improvements and repair strategies.
• Coordinate planned shutdowns, emergencies, and contractor activities.
• Maintain accurate work orders, inspections, and equipment documentation; manage parts and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety standards, and lockout/tagout practices.
• Partner with leadership to address facility needs and communicate service impacts.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability, energy efficiency, and operating costs.
• Use data trends for predictive maintenance and to detect anomalies.
• Utilize CMMS to document all work and maintain 24/7 staffing.
