Job summary

The University of Iowa Health Care – North Liberty Campus is seeking a Central Service Technician II to join the Central Sterilizing Services team. This full-time role schedules Monday–Friday 0700–1500 with rotating weekends and holidays at the North Liberty Campus, focusing on complex instrument processing and staff training.

You will lead sterilization operations, ensure infection prevention practices, and contribute to quality improvement while coordinating with colleagues to maintain

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in sterile processing or related medical field.
• Certification from CBSPD or IAHCSMM required.
• High school diploma or equivalent with science/math coursework.
• Ability to work Monday–Friday with rotating weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead technician in central sterilization processes.
• Train staff and monitor competency.
• Handle instrument trays, washers, and sterilizers.
• Maintain infection prevention practices and PPE compliance.
