Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Production Supervisor at the Hagerstown Cement Plant in MD to oversee daily operations, ensure safety, and drive efficiency on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.

You will work closely with management and other departments to keep plant equipment running, perform quality checks, and coordinate with the Production Coordinator to meet KPI targets. Influential in maintaining safety and productivity in a heavy industry setting.

Qualifications

• Associates/College Degree required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of related supervisory experience with progression of responsibility.
• Experience in cement plant or heavy industry preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Start-up, normal operation, and shutdown of referenced systems.
• Equipment inspection and preventive/minor maintenance; housekeeping tasks.
• Perform quality checks to ensure mill operates within specifications and inventory is maintained.
• Operate mobile equipment to manage piles and feed dryers/mills.
• Run forklift, skid steer, sucker truck, and sweeper for housekeeping tasks.
• Initiate daily activities of Granulation, dryer, and finish mills to meet plant demands.
• Coordinate with Production Coordinator on daily plans and KPI targets.
• Troubleshoot problems and report findings to Maintenance/Production teams.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies; follow PPE protocols.
