Vail Resorts in Kirkwood, CA, seeks a Lead CDL Driver for the winter season. You will transport guests and employees safely, manage a small team, and ensure compliance with safety regulations while delivering an Experience of a Lifetime.

The role requires a valid CDL Class A or B with air brake and passenger endorsements, 2+ years CDL experience, a clean driving record, and a current DOT medical certificate. Compensation starts at $25.45–$33.93 per hour with full-time hours and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Leading your team to accomplish daily goals.
• Adhering to all safe driving regulations and standards.
• Directing day‑to‑day work within the transportation function.
• Enforcing policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Addressing safety issues and notifying senior management.
• Resolving guest issues and concerns as needed.
• Coordinating with dispatch supervisor, operations manager, and other departments and outside agencies.
• Ensuring familiarity with all areas of transportation and functions.
• Obeying all highway laws and driving defensively.
• Filling out daily reports and notifying the manager of any bus difficulties.
• Assisting passengers to ensure they are properly seated.
• Handling passenger emergencies and disruptions.
• Safely transporting small and large groups of people to and from assigned locations.
• Maintaining and cleaning buses.
• Reporting maintenance problems.
• Installing and removing tire chains as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

As a Lead Driver, you are responsible for executing safe and efficient transportation of guests and employees to and from designated pickup and drop‑off locations, while maintaining a friendly, positive attitude and delivering an Experience of a Lifetime.

Job Responsibilities

Job Requirements

• Valid US Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Valid US Commercial Driver's License, Class A or B with air brake and passenger endorsement (obtained at own expense) – Required
• At least 2 years prior experience in a CDL required driving position – Required
• Current Medical Examination Report (valid for 2 years) – Required
• High School Diploma
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Pre‑employment drug test
• Current DOT medical certificate

Compensation

Starting Wage: $25.45/hr – $33.93/hr (wage range may vary based on experience and qualifications).
