Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Lead Driver CDL (B) to supervise a team of drivers, ensure timely route coverage, and provide safe, courteous service to customers. You will perform vehicle inspections, ensure compliance with safety standards, and support route planning with dispatch.

The role requires a Class B CDL with air brakes, three years of commercial driving experience, and at least one year in a lead position, along with strong time management and customer-service skills.

Qualifications

• Three years of prior experience driving commercial trucks.
• One year in a lead role.
• Class B Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.
• Good time management skills to ensure safe and efficient duties.
• Ability to adhere to company safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a group of drivers to ensure routes are serviced timely and efficiently.
• Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along designated routes and service customers.
• Train new drivers on safety and driving techniques as needed.
• Complete required reports and maintain productivity standards.
