Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years’ CDI experience preferred.
• Graduate from a Nursing program, RN, BSN, Medical Doctor, or HIM RHIT/RHIA preferred.
• Two years’ HIM/Coding or Case Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record Review: complete initial reviews within 24–48 hours of admission and follow-up reviews every 1–3 days.
• Lead Responsibilities: provide mentoring/training to new CDI hires and staff.
• Resolve issues with Operations; assist with orientation of new CDI staff.
• Professional Development: stay current with coding guidelines and attend updates.
• Provider Engagement: conduct rounding, educate providers on documentation and queries.
• Other duties as assigned and travel as needed (up to 10%).
