Job summary

Physician Care Coordination Consultants LLC is seeking a CDI Consultant Clinician to join a team-based environment focusing on CDI opportunity identification and client support. You will educate and train clients, shadow staff, conduct chart reviews and audits, and write appeals to enhance CDI programs.

You will work directly with the CDI Director and Chief of Operations, communicating findings and opportunities from case reviews while staying current with coding changes and regulatory

Qualifications

• Excellent communication in oral and written form and the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Ability to present to management, staff, and business partners.
• Broad knowledge of CMS, ICD-10 and DRG optimization and related regulations.
• Team collaboration across disciplines is essential.
• Experience with risk adjustment and value-based care models.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local documentation guidelines and communicate changes to CDI staff.
• Coach, train and mentor CDI specialists to improve documentation practices.
• Perform clinical audits of clients and initial reviews of facilities.
• Develop and monitor program goals and objectives.
• Identify gaps in operational workflows and propose redesigns.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on CDI best practices for clients and internal teams.
• Ensure documentation meets ICD-10, DRG, and other coding standards.
