Job summary

Gibson Dunn, based in Houston, seeks a Supervisor, Catering & Hospitality to lead the office’s catering and hospitality functions. You will manage the team, plan client-facing events, and uphold high service standards for clients, attorneys, and staff.

Responsibilities include supervising daily operations, coordinating with facilities, vendor negotiation, and budget oversight. Requires 5–7 years in hospitality/event management and a strong client-service orientation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years in catering, hospitality, or event management with leadership experience.
• Experience in upscale hospitality environments (fine dining, private club, luxury hotel, or corporate programs).
• Law firm or professional services experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise catering team daily, including scheduling, coverage, training, and performance feedback.
• Lead office cafes and high-end daily service for clients, attorneys, and staff.
• Maintain service standards for food, beverage, etiquette, and space presentation.
• Plan and execute local office and client-facing events end to end, including reservations and staffing.
• Manage vendor relationships, source caterers, negotiate rates, and ensure quality.
• Track event costs, budgets, and provide reporting to the Director of Administration.
• Oversee attendance, invitations, RSVPs, and stakeholder coordination.
• Ensure health permits and food handler certifications are kept current.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
