Job summary

Gibson Dunn, based in Houston, seeks a Supervisor of Catering & Hospitality to lead the office dining and client-facing events. You will supervise the catering team, ensure high-end service, and manage events end to end, working with facilities and procurement.

Requirements include 5–7 years in catering/hospitality, plus supervisory experience and a background in upscale environments. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Lead and supervise a service team with scheduling, training, and performance feedback.
• Experience in upscale hospitality and client-facing service.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and leadership.
• Strong judgment to resolve issues during live events.
• Organizational skills to manage high-volume events without quality loss.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook; catering software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day catering team operations, scheduling, and performance feedback.
• Run firm cafes and high-end daily service for clients, attorneys, and staff.
• Maintain upscale service standards for food, beverage, and etiquette.
• Plan and execute local office and client events from start to finish.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate terms per firm standards with Procurement.
• Track event costs, prepare budgets, and report to Director of Administration.
• Lead post-event debriefs and implement improvements.
