Job summary

Duties include unloading trucks, stocking and facing merchandise, operating registers, assisting customers, and maintaining a clean, secure store environment to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, percentages).
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and cashier accountability.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash, facility and safety policies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks following store procedures.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face shelves; build displays.
• Restock returned merchandise.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Greet and assist customers; locate merchandise.
• Operate cash register and total customer purchases; bag items.
• Maintain clean and safe store environment.
• Open/close store under direction; manage refunds and cash handling when needed.
