Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking a Lead Cashier in our store to drive guest transactions, uphold cashwrap standards and train new cashiers. The role emphasizes loyalty program participation, service quality and teamwork to meet store sales goals.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in cashiering, strong communication and the ability to lead peers. Availability for flexible hours and strong guest focus are required to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred.
• 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.
• Proven ability to delegate, multi‑task and problem‑solve.
• Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and a competency for selling.
• Experience addressing guests concerns and questions promptly and professionally to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Demonstrated experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, omni‑channel, guest loyalty and retail shrink as set by Ulta Beauty for the store.
• Ensure that each guest receives exceptional service by providing a guest‑friendly environment and personalizing service to their needs.
• Courteously handle sales, refunds and exchanges.
• Ensure guest receives exceptional service by pairing them with an associate for makeup applications, skincare analysis and product demonstrations.
• Book appointments for and support in-store services and events that deliver an unrivaled guest experience.
• Take ownership over replenishment, organization and maintenance of all cashwrap displays and impulse fixtures.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
