Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a front-end associate in Morris Plains, NJ to deliver SMART customer service, assist customers in locating and loading merchandise, and support checkout operations. You will help customers understand product features, respond to questions, and maintain store cleanliness and safety.

You will also contribute to training and coaching junior associates, operate cash registers, and ensure accurate transactions and receipt integrity in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe's customer service policies, procedures and programs
• Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
• Listens to and responds to questions by taking customers to areas of the store and walking them through projects
• Communicates information to customers regarding stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information
• Coaches, develops, provides feedback, and trains associates in departmental duties or sales opportunities
• Uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds according to company guidelines
• Removes security tags, verifies product information, and bags merchandise for customers
