GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE

The Lead Cashier (LC) is responsible for the efficiency of guest transactions and maintaining excellence in cashwrap standards, including cleanliness and overall aesthetics. Experienced in cashiering, the LC assists in training new cashiers and cross-training other associates. This position involves collaborating, leading, and influencing peers, and is responsible for driving loyalty results, including credit, through performance, people, and process focus. The Lead Cashier supports the leadership team with register functions, associate inspections, and cashier chats, requiring a passion for guest experience, process excellence, and delivering exceptional results by engaging guests on our Loyalty Life Cycle to achieve goals.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Performance

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty (including credit), and retail shrink.
• Provide exceptional service by greeting and engaging guests, personalizing service, and recommending products/services.

People

• Support an inclusive environment for teammates and guests.
• Assist in training new cashiers and cross-training associates.

Process

• Ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
• Complete all transactions accurately and maintain store standards.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High school diploma preferred.

Experience

• 2 years relevant experience or equivalent preferred.
• Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve.
• Passion for guest service and sales.

Skills

• Proficient with POS systems and basic technology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be 18 or older.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Mobility throughout the store, frequent bending, lifting up to 25 lbs, and other physical activities.
