Overview

The Lead Cashier (LC) is responsible for guest transaction efficiency and maintaining cashwrap standards, including cleanliness and aesthetics. The LC assists in training new cashiers, cross-training associates, and driving loyalty results through performance, people, and process focus. The role supports opening/closing registers, associate inspections, and cashier chats, requiring a passion for guest experience, process excellence, and delivering results by engaging guests in our Loyalty Life Cycle.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

1. Performance: Meet/exceed store goals related to sales, loyalty, and shrink; provide exceptional guest service; handle sales, refunds,, and exchanges courteously; support appointment bookings and store events; maintain cashwrap displays and supplies; ensure attendance.
2. People: Support an inclusive environment; assist with cashier training; stay informed on industry trends; promote loyalty programs; engage peers; participate in ongoing training; collaborate to grow the business.
3. Process: Ensure compliance with policies; adhere to dress code; complete transactions properly; maintain store standards and cleanliness; protect assets; execute operational tasks as directed.

Job Qualifications

Education: High school diploma preferred.

Experience: 2+ years relevant experience preferred; skills in delegation, multitasking, problem-solving, sales, and customer service; experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires.

Skills: Proficient with POS and technology; excellent communication; strong interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and in teams; build customer relationships; react under pressure and adapt.

Special Position Requirements

• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Must be 18+ years old.

Working Conditions

• Mobility throughout the store; frequent bending, lifting up to 25 lbs., and object manipulation.
