General Summary & Scope

The Lead Cashier (LC) is responsible for the efficiency of guest transactions and maintaining excellence in cashwrap standards, including cleanliness and overall aesthetics. Experienced in cashiering, the LC assists in training new cashiers and cross-training other associates. This position drives loyalty results, including credit, through performance, people, and process focus. The LC supports the leadership team with register functions, associate inspections, and cashier chat ins/outs, emphasizing guest experience, process excellence, and achieving goals.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Performance

• Meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, loyalty, and shrink.
• Providing exceptional guest service, greeting, engaging, personalizing, and recommending products/services.
• Handling sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
• Supporting in-store services and events to enhance guest experience and sales.
• Maintaining cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures.
• Maintaining prompt attendance.

Job Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma preferred.

Experience

• 2 years relevant experience or equivalent education and experience preferred.

• Experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires.

Skills

• Proficient with POS systems and technology.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and in teams.

Position Requirements

• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Must be 18+ years old.

Working Conditions
