GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE

The Lead Cashier (LC) is responsible for the efficiency of guest transactions and maintaining excellence in cashwrap standards, including cleanliness and overall aesthetics. Experienced in cashiering, the LC assists in training new cashiers and cross-training other associates. This position drives loyalty results, including credit, through performance, people, and process focus. The Lead Cashier supports the leadership team with register functions, associate inspections, and cashier chats, requiring a passion for guest experience, process excellence, and delivering results by engaging guests with our Loyalty Life Cycle.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Performance

• Contributing to store goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty, and shrink reduction.
• Providing exceptional guest service, including greeting, engaging, personalizing service, and recommending products/services.
• Handling sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
• Supporting booking and execution of services and events to enhance guest experience and sales.
• Maintaining store readiness at the cashwrap, including displays and supplies.
• Maintaining regular attendance.

People

• Supporting an inclusive environment for teammates and guests.
• Completing cashier chats and associate exit inspections.
• Staying informed on industry trends, products, and services.
• Promoting the guest loyalty program and creating excitement around credit and loyalty goals.
• Training new cashiers and cross-training associates.
• Leading peers to achieve productivity and performance goals.
• Driving cashier accountability and participating in ongoing training.

Process

• Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and standards.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High school diploma preferred.

Experience

• 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent preferred.
• Proven delegation, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for guest service and sales.
• Experience with addressing guest concerns professionally.
• Experience exceeding sales goals and training new hires.

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
