Position Overview

The Lead Cashier (LC) ensures efficient guest transactions and maintains high standards at the cashwrap, including cleanliness and aesthetics. The LC is experienced in cashiering, assists in training new cashiers, and collaborates with peers. This role focuses on driving loyalty, sales, guest experience, and process compliance, supporting the leadership team with register functions and associate inspections. A passion for guest service and process excellence is essential.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Performance

• Meet or exceed store goals related to sales, loyalty, and shrink.
• Provide exceptional guest service, including greeting, engaging, and personalizing interactions.
• Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
• Support guest makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations.
• Support in-store events and appointments to enhance guest experience.
• Maintain cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures.
• Ensure regular attendance.

People

• Support an inclusive environment for teammates and guests.
• Assist with cashier chat ins/outs and associate inspections.
• Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services.
• Promote the loyalty program and create excitement around credit and loyalty goals.
• Train new cashiers and cross-train associates.
• Lead peers to achieve productivity and performance goals.
• Participate in ongoing training to improve skills and sales performance.
• Collaborate with store team to grow the business.

Process

• Ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
• Adhere to dress code.
• Complete transactions accurately and control cash/media.
• Perform register opening/closing as directed.
• Maintain store cleanliness and standards.
• Protect assets and minimize loss.
• Perform other operational tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma preferred.

Experience: 2+ years relevant experience, sales and training skills, guest service expertise.

Skills: Technology proficiency, communication, collaboration, relationship building, adaptability.

Position Requirements: Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays; must be 18+ years old.

Working Conditions
