The Lead Cashier (LC) is responsible for the efficiency of guest transactions and maintaining excellence in cashwrap standards, including cleanliness and overall aesthetics. Experienced in cashiering, the LC assists in the training of new cashiers and cross-training of other associates. This role involves proactively collaborating, leading, and influencing peers. The Lead Cashier drives loyalty results, including credit, by focusing on performance (sales, guest experience, and loyalty), people (guest service, and associate training and development), and process (operating procedures and compliance standards, especially cashiering). They support the leadership team with register functions, associate exit inspections, cashier chat ins/outs, and are passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and process excellence, contributing to store goals.
The LC embodies Ulta Beauty’s mission, vision, and values, performing the following duties and responsibilities, along with any other assigned projects or tasks:
Education: High school diploma preferred.
Experience: 2 years relevant work experience or equivalent; proven ability to delegate, multi-task, problem-solve; passion for guest service and sales; experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires.
Skills: Proficiency with POS systems and Apple devices; excellent communication; strong interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and in teams; relationship-building skills; adaptability under pressure.
