Job summary

Northern Wyoming Community College District seeks an Assistant Professor of Carpentry/Construction to deliver lecture and hands-on instruction for degree and certificate programs. The instructor collaborates with adjunct faculty, maintains industry partnerships, and fosters student success in a hands-on, industry-aligned environment.

The role requires assessing student learning outcomes, developing curriculum, and providing safety training while engaging with the community college mission.

Qualifications

• Evidence higher education teaching experience in carpentry/construction preferred.
• Commitment to technical education and community college mission.
• Ability to teach a range of construction/carpentry related courses.
• Experience with industry partnerships and advisory committees.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and lab/shop instruction in carpentry and residential construction.
• Develop and implement curriculum aligned with industry standards.
• Provide comprehensive safety training to students and enforce safety practices.
• Organize field trips to job sites and manufacturing operations.
• Maintain instructional equipment and facilities and manage supplies.
