Job summary

Forest Lawn's Carpentry and Painters Department seeks an experienced professional to perform senior-level commercial carpentry work on interior and exterior facility structures. Responsibilities include framing, insulation, drywall, painting prep, and finishing, along with installing trim, ceilings, cabinetry, and fixtures.

You will analyze drawings, prepare sites, protect surfaces, and assist with various finishes and cladding.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Possession of an appropriate valid California driver’s license is required.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Minimum of two years of senior-level on-the-job experience in commercial building construction and maintenance.
Alternative: three years of senior-level on-the-job experience with internal department training.

Responsibilities

Analyze simple drawings, specifications, and instructions to determine the scope of work.
Prepare the site by protecting furniture, equipment, and floors.
Remove fixtures and prepare surfaces for painting and repairs.
Wash surfaces, strip paint, and apply finishes as needed.
Install trim, acoustical ceilings, cabinetry, countertops, and fixtures.
Perform interior and exterior carpentry, finish work, and minor roof maintenance.
