Job summary

Worthington and Shagen Custom Builder is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to lead residential construction projects in the field from setup through completion. This hands-on role rewards quality workmanship, clear client communication, and proactive problem-solving to keep projects moving on schedule.

You will lead day-to-day jobsite operations, review plans and specs, coordinate materials and subcontractors, and ensure safety, cleanliness, and high standards.

Qualifications

• Strong residential carpentry experience.
• Experience leading jobsites or supervising crews.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Commitment to safety, organization, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day jobsite operations.
• Review plans, scope, and project details before and during construction.
• Coordinate materials, subcontractors, and scheduling in the field.
• Maintain quality, safety, cleanliness, and jobsite organization.
• Communicate with clients and keep the Project Manager updated on progress, issues, and change orders.
• Complete carpentry work as needed.
