Job summary

Worthington and Shagen Custom Builder is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to guide residential construction projects from setup through completion. This hands-on role requires pride in workmanship, strong client and team communication, and the ability to keep projects moving efficiently on site.

The successful candidate leads by example, proactively solves problems, and maintains high standards for safety, quality, and professionalism while coordinating with the Project Manager.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day jobsite operations.

• Communicate with clients and update the Project Manager on progress and changes.
• Complete carpentry work as needed.

About the Role

Worthington and Shagen Custom Builder is hiring an experienced Lead Carpenter to lead residential construction projects in the field from setup through completion. This is a hands‑on role for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates well with clients and team members, and knows how to keep projects moving efficiently.

This position is ideal for a carpenter who can lead by example, solve problems proactively, and maintain high standards for quality, safety, and professionalism.

What You'll Do

• Lead day‑to‑day jobsite operations
• Review plans, scope, and project details before and during construction
• Coordinate materials, subcontractors, and scheduling in the field
• Maintain quality, safety, cleanliness, and jobsite organization
• Communicate with clients and keep the Project Manager updated on progress, issues, and change orders
• Complete carpentry work as needed.

Compensation

• Pay Range: $35-$40/hr DOE
• Medical insurance (available after 90 days)
