Hurst Construction, Inc. is seeking a Carpenter (Field Tech) to join a small, craft-focused team working on high-end residential projects in the Kansas City metro and Lawrence area.
You'll read architectural drawings, build to spec, and collaborate with a Lead Carpenter to deliver top-detail results. The role offers consistent hours (8am–4:30pm, 40 hrs/wk), mileage reimbursement, and room to grow from Carpenter to Lead Carpenter and eventually Project Manager within a supportive shop environment
Hurst Construction, Inc.
Kansas City Metro + Lawrence, KS.
We're a craft-based residential design build firm working in the Kansas City metro and Lawrence areas. We've been at it since 2003. We are a small team of dedicated crafts people. We build for a range of designers and architects - every one of them brings a different aesthetic and a different level of detail, so no two jobs look alike. We also make our own millwork in-house, out of our Blind Rabbet shop, which means the details most builders sub out, we solve ourselves. The standard is high. That's the whole point of working here.
This is where craftspeople come to do their best work. You'll build high-end, design-driven residential projects alongside experienced leads who care about getting the details right and want you to succeed. Whether you're starting out or already skilled, the work is real and the standard is high. You'll be part of a small crew under a Lead Carpenter, working from architectural drawings on projects that run from full custom homes to detailed renovations. Moving between projects means you see more work, more detail, and more of what different designers ask for — it's the fastest way to build range.
Nice to have: Finish carpentry or millwork installation experience, familiarity with high-end residential detailing, OSHA 10.
Hurst Construction is an equal opportunity employer.
