Job summary

SHADE Industries is seeking a Carpentry and Custom Steel Structure Foreman to lead field assembly and precise mounting of high-end architectural shade sails, steel/metal support structures, and custom fabric covers.

In this role, you will apply fine carpentry skills, layout precision, and mechanical fastening expertise to install custom outdoor shade solutions for luxury residential properties and commercial venues.

Qualifications

• 3+ years field experience in rough framing, finish carpentry, deck building, or custom residential installation work.
• Strong leadership to guide 1–4 crew members and solve field challenges.
• Valid driver license with clean record and willingness to travel for short regional deployments (1–4 days).
• Preferred: specialty carpentry such as pergolas/outdoor spaces and OSHA safety training.

Responsibilities

• Lead small installation teams in the field with precise structural attachment.
• Read architectural plans to lay out attachment points and hardware.
• Perform cutting, framing, drilling, and fastening to install shade structures.
• Assist with fabric tensioning, rigging, and final adjustments for weather resistance.
• Interface with homeowners, architects, and project managers to review scope.
