Job summary

New Kappa City Construction Inc. is seeking a Lead Carpenter to own field work, lead crews, and deliver high-quality commercial door and window installations across Massachusetts.

This is a full-time role for someone who can solve field problems, maintain production, and mentor junior team members. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in professional carpentry, hands-on experience with commercial doors and windows, and OSHA 10.

Qualifications

• 5 years of professional carpentry or related commercial installation experience.
• Strong hands-on experience installing commercial or exterior doors and/or windows.
• Previous experience leading crews, supervising field work, mentoring other Carpenters, or taking ownership of job-site execution.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure and understand layout, plumb, level, square, fastening, installation sequencing.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field activities on commercial and government construction projects.
• Direct and coordinate small carpentry crews.
• Install and replace fiberglass/metal doors and windows and related hardware.
• Complete demolition, preparation, installation, sealing, and finish work.
• Inspect completed work and correct deficiencies before punch-list or owner review.
• Train and mentor Carpenters and less-experienced field employees.
