Job description

About Us

Pacific Remodeling is a faith-based, veteran-owned small business specializing in high-quality kitchen and bathroom remodels. We embrace a growth mindset and uphold strong core values— integrity, service, excellence in all we do—within a family-like culture. As we expand, we need a talented and experienced Lead Carpenter to step into the owner’s role in the field, supervising an apprentice while the owner focuses on growth, sales, and management.

Position Overview

In this key leadership position, you will be the primary field representative of Pacific Remodeling. You’ll manage and execute residential remodeling projects—mainly kitchens and bathrooms—with minimal supervision. Working with a trained apprentice, you must be able to coordinate all aspects of remodels, including carpentry, tile work, basic plumbing, electrical, and small crew management. Your success in this role directly impacts our customers’ satisfaction and the overall growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Field Leadership: Take over the owner’s responsibilities in the field, leading an apprentice and any additional crew members.
  2. Communicate effectively with the office, customers, and team to keep projects on track.
  3. Project Execution: Oversee and perform all phases of kitchen and bathroom remodeling (demo, cabinet installations, trim/millwork, tile work using the Schluter system, etc.). Ensure every project adheres to our quality standards, schedule, and budget.
  4. Carpentry & Finishing: Complete framing, drywall finishing, painting, and finish carpentry (baseboards, crown molding).
  5. Tile Setting: Lay tile for showers, floors, and backsplashes with precision and attention to detail.
  6. Basic Plumbing & Electrical: Disconnect and reinstall faucets, drains, supply lines, and light fixtures/appliances.
  7. Quality Control & Efficiency: Maintain meticulous workmanship, meet deadlines, and manage resources to avoid unnecessary delays.
  8. Customer Interaction: Provide professional, friendly customer service; communicate progress and address questions or concerns.
  9. Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines, maintain a clean and orderly job site, and uphold company policies.

Qualifications & Skills

  1. Proven Experience: Minimum of 5 years in professional carpentry and remodeling (bathrooms, kitchens) with verifiable references.
  2. Leadership Abilities: Prior experience managing a small crew or an apprentice; strong organizational and communication skills.
  3. Technical Expertise: Proficient in tile work (including waterproofing showers), drywall repair, finish carpentry, cabinet installation, and basic plumbing/electrical.
  4. Punctual, reliable, and committed to meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  5. Tools & Transportation: Must possess basic carpentry tools and have reliable transportation.
  6. Problem-Solving & Planning: Ability to read technical drawings, calculate materials, and troubleshoot site challenges.
  7. Professionalism & Character: Uphold integrity, outstanding customer service, and take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
  8. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or technical certification is a plus.

Why Join Pacific Remodeling?

  1. Meaningful Impact: Play a vital leadership role in a growing company, shaping our future and delivering projects that delight our clients.
  2. Supportive Culture: Work in a faith-based, family-oriented environment that values your contributions and professional growth.
  3. Opportunity for Advancement: As we grow, there will be increasing opportunities to enhance your leadership skills, manage larger teams, and shape company processes.
