Housewrights, a premier residential design-build firm in south-central Wisconsin, seeks a Lead Carpenter to lead remodeling and new home construction from start to finish. This hands-on, site-based role requires strong carpentry skills, problem-solving, and the ability to guide other carpenters while coordinating with subcontractors and homeowners.

You will work Monday–Friday with competitive pay, health and dental benefits, PTO, and opportunities for growth within a locally respected company

Formación

• Minimum of 5 years in residential construction or remodeling.
• Strong framing, trim work and finish carpentry skills.
• Ability to manage job sites and coordinate with subcontractors and homeowners.
• Reliable, self-motivated and team-oriented. Wisconsin codes knowledge is a plus.

LEAD CARPENTER

As a Lead Carpenter, you will play a key role in residential remodeling and new home construction projects from start to finish. This is a hands‑on, site‑based position that includes carpentry work, overseeing daily job site activities, coordinating materials, working with subcontractors, and guiding other carpenters to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high standards of quality.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum of 5 years of residential construction or remodeling experience
• Strong skills in framing, trim work, finish carpentry, and general construction
• Ability to manage job sites and communicate effectively with subcontractors and homeowners
• Reliable, self‑motivated, and team‑oriented
• Knowledge of Wisconsin building codes and green building practices is a plus
