Job summary

Housewrights is seeking a Production Assistant to support our design-build construction projects in south-central Wisconsin. This entry-level role offers hands-on carpentry exposure and a path to becoming a full-time carpenter.

You will work with skilled carpenters and project managers, maintain a clean and safe site, and help coordinate materials and subcontractor activities while delivering high-quality results for clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry and labor tasks to support project completion.
• Assist Project Managers and carpentry staff as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and secure job site with minimal client disruption.
• Assist with material runs, site maintenance, and inspections.
• Coordinate site services and subcontractor work as required.
• Represent the company professionally in client interactions and monitor satisfaction.

We are currently looking to grow our team with a Production Assistant.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Perform all carpentry and labor tasks necessary to the successful completion of the project.
• Support all Project Managers and Carpentry staff as needed.
• Ensure the site is consistently clean, orderly, safe for all interactions, and secure from unauthorized access and weather impacts, minimizing disruption to the client
• Assist with material runs, site maintenance/housekeeping, and building inspections.
• Facilitate subcontractor site work and coordinate site services such as rubbish collection, portable toilets, and cranes.
• Represent the company positively during client interactions and monitor client satisfaction.
