Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Lead Caregiver to serve as shift leader and ensure exceptional resident care while coaching the caregiving team. Based in Raleigh, you will help guide daily operations and maintain care standards.

You will lead shift assignments, provide hands-on ADL support, coach staff on quality and documentation, review ISP-aligned charting, monitor resident changes, and mentor new colleagues. Sunrise emphasizes growth opportunities and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, age 18+
• CPR and First Aid certifications
• Medication Administration certification
• Experience in assisted living or senior care

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage
• Provide hands-on ADL support when needed
• Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards
• Review charting and ensure alignment with ISP
• Monitor resident changes and communicate concerns promptly
• Support onboarding and mentor new team members
• Promote safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions
