Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a Lead Caregiver to supervise shifts, mentor the caregiving team, and ensure high-quality resident care. The role combines hands-on caregiving with frontline leadership in a senior living setting.

You will lead shift coverage, support staff development, and monitor care plans to maintain exceptional service standards while promoting safety and compliance for residents and team.

Qualifications

• Diploma or GED; 18+ years.
• CPR, First Aid, and medication administration certifications required.
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage.
• Provide hands-on ADL support when needed.
• Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards.
• Review charting and ensure alignment with ISP.
• Monitor resident changes and communicate concerns promptly.
• Support onboarding and mentor new team members.
• Promote safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions.
