Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Lead Caregiver to act as shift leader, delivering high-quality resident care and coaching the caregiving team. The role combines frontline caregiving with leadership responsibilities to ensure consistent, compassionate service in a senior living setting.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration certifications, and proven experience in assisted living or memory care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; age 18+
• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage
• Provide hands-on ADL support when needed
• Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards
• Review charting and ensure alignment with Individualized Service Plans (ISP)
• Monitor resident changes and communicate concerns promptly
• Support onboarding and mentor new team members
• Promote safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions
