Job summary

Family Resource Home Care is seeking Lead Caregivers to support clients in Oregon. This role covers critical shifts, short-notice availability, and training of new caregivers. The Lead Caregiver schedule typically runs Monday to Friday 8AM–6PM and Thursday to Monday 9AM–7PM.

Pay rate is $21.00 per hour, with 24/7 caregiver support, paid travel time, orientation and ongoing training. The role emphasizes consistent hours, travel between clients, and opportunities for advancement within our

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to pass state and national background check.
• Valid driver license, auto insurance and clean driving record.
• Active NAC/CNA license preferred but not required.
• One year of experience in home care, AFH, hospital or nursing home setting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Smart phone with AxisCare app access.
• Washington state training requirements may apply for HCA entry.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as cleaning, laundry, dishes, meal prep and companionship.
• Support clients with bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Provide transportation to errands or appointments in your own car.
• Assist with gait belt or Hoyer transfers and monitor client condition.
• Support staff during shifts and training of new caregivers.

Lead Caregiver Summary

Our Lead Caregivers are experienced individuals who help with our most critical shifts. This includes but is not limited to fill-ins, new clients and training shifts with new caregivers. The primary responsibilities include the Caregiver Job Duties listed below. Our Lead Caregivers must be available to work on short notice during their assigned availability times with clients in any of their assigned branches service areas.

Lead Caregiver Schedule: Monday - Friday 8AM to 6PM Thursday - Monday 9AM - 7PM

Lead Caregiver Pay Rate: 21.00

Caregiver Job Duties

Our caregivers support their clients in activities of daily living such as (but not limited to):

• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
• Cooking and/or serving meals
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
• Transporting clients for errands or appointments in your car
• Assisting with gait belt or Hoyer transfers
• Monitoring and reporting on their condition

Additional Information

• Washington only - If you do not have a current HCA or CNA license, you will be required to enroll in our HCA training program we offer (due to state requirements). You will be able to complete the training while working and will have 120 days to complete it.
• Oregon only - If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse-led medication training before you can work with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings!

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to pass a state and national background check
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record
• Active state NAC/CNA or HCA license preferred but not required
• One year experience in home care, AFH, hospital or nursing home setting
• Ability to lift to 50lbs
• Ability to provide more than companionship care and work with different care levels
• Smart phone with ability to download and utilize the AxisCare app
• WA Only - Current valid CEs if you are an HCA
