Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Lead Caregiver in Raleigh, NC to serve as shift leader, ensuring high-quality resident care and coaching the caregiving team. You will lead coverage, provide hands-on support, and uphold care standards across the unit.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid and medication administration certifications, and strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills. Experience in senior care is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; age 18+
• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision‑making skills
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage
• Provide hands-on ADL support when needed
• Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards
• Review charting to ensure alignment with ISP
• Monitor resident changes and communicate concerns promptly
• Support onboarding and mentor new team members
• Promote safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions
