Job summary

Family Resource Home Care is seeking a Lead Caregiver in Hood River, OR to support clients with daily living activities, fill-in shifts, and training of new staff. You must be available on short notice across assigned branches and service areas. The role offers $23.50/hr plus paid training and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• 18 years+
• Ability to pass state and national background check
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record
• Ability to transport clients in their own vehicle
• Ability to adapt to flexible schedules
• Ability to lift a minimum of 10lbs and up to 50lb rarely
• One year experience in home care, AFH, hospital or nursing home setting
• Must own a smart phone with capabilities to download and use a mobile app
• HCA or C.N.A. certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Our caregivers support their clients in activities of daily living such as (but not limited to):
• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
• Cooking and/or serving meals
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
• Driving clients (as needed) to the store or appointments
• Monitoring and reporting on their condition
• Assisting with gait belt or Hoyer transfers.
• Fill in as needed
• Train new caregivers
• Client intakes
