Job summary

Home Helpers Home Care is seeking a Lead CNA/Lead Caregiver to cover Kirkland, Bellevue, Redmond, Mercer Island, and nearby areas. You’ll lead field visits, train and support CNAs, and fill in for call-offs on weekends.

Responsibilities include client care, updates to care plans, and administrative duties. A CNA/HCA certification plus WA background check are required, with 2+ years in care settings preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant or Home Care Aide Certification required.
• Nurse Delegation certificate preferred and we offer this training.
• Fundamentals of Caregivering or Modified Fundamentals of Caregiving required.
• Maintains required 12 hours of CE needed for CNA or HCA certificate annually.
• Has worked in Home Care or other long term care setting for 2 or more years.
• Knowledge or skill in working with older adults and adults with memory impairment.
• Valid Driver’s license, Reliable Transportation, Auto Insurance required.

LEAD CAREGIVER to cover Kirkland, Bellevue, Redmond, Mercer Island, and surrounding areas.

You will be out in the field visiting caregivers, clients and covering call offs if needed on weekends.

The Lead CNA provides support and direction to other CNAs and HCAs as well as providing direct care to clients, if needed. This includes providing personal care services and observations about the client and their care plan. You will also assist with administrative duties, starts of care, covering call offs, training caregivers, site visits to client's homes and client assessments.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Team Building: support, and assist caregivers in the field.
• Oversight: Assist in orienting caregivers to new and existing clients. Validate they are providing appropriate hands on client care. Clarify the client's plan of care and updates. Provide shift coverage as needed due to call outs or no shows.
• Assistance with: administrative tasks, record keeping, and documentation.
• Perform other job-related duties as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to provide all aspects of personal care to older adults at all functional levels.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form.
• Ability to schedule tasks effectively to meet strict deadlines and within allotted time frame.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to pass DSHS and State background check, required by WA state law.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant or Home Care Aide Certification required
