Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Lead Cardiac Technician to serve as the team’s point of contact for non-invasive cardiac testing and to support EKG services across the department. You will perform a wide range of cardiac tests under supervision, ensure test accuracy, and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities include overseeing scheduling, payroll input, maintaining equipment, coordinating EKG workflow, and communicating with management.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years' experience as a cardiac technician.
• Knowledge of basic cardiac anatomy and physiology.
• Ability to work with ECG equipment and software workflows.

Responsibilities

• Oversees scheduling and payroll input for EKG staff.
• Supports EKG systems and expands services.
• Maintains communication with management.
• Precepts new EKG staff into the department.
• Performs cardiac tests and monitors heart function.
• Calibrates and maintains cardiology equipment.
• Alerts clinicians to critical values and records results.
• Interprets EKGs and generates reports.
