Qualifications

• Graduate of Radiology Imaging Technologist program approved by AMA committee.
• Must obtain California Diagnostic Radiologic Technology Certification.
• Must obtain ARRT national certification.
• Must obtain National Provider BLS from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical/technical activities in Cardiovascular Imaging; supervise department staff as needed.
• Provide age-appropriate care and adhere to department standards and competency guidelines.
• Serve as a resource to staff and ensure high-quality patient care in the Cath Lab.
• Demonstrate clinical and/or technical proficiency across cardiovascular/interventional imaging.

Job description

Lead Cardiovascular Technologist at Providence St. Joseph Hospital Eureka, CA. This position is full time and will work 10-hour, Day shifts. St. Joseph Hospital Eureka is offering a $20K extended bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Under the direction of the Department Manager/Director, the Lead Tech assumes responsibility for limited supervisory activities in the department.The Lead Tech is technically and/or clinically competent, demonstrates and adheres to department standards, and serves as an administrative, clinical and/or technical resource to department staff.Clinical and/or technical responsibilities account for 75% or more of worked hours.Able to perform the competency standards of the Cardiovascular/ Interventional Imaging Technologist.Provides age-appropriate care for patients as defined by the department scope of service.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training and Graduate of a program in Radiology Imaging Technologist approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association.
• Upon hire: California Diagnostic Radiologic Technology Certification
• Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 2 years of experience as a hospital-based Cardiovascular and/or Interventional Imaging Technologist.
• 2 years of Cath Lab experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Upon hire: Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International
• Supervisory experience.
